Cookie policy
This lists every cookie this site can set, what each one is for, and how to change your mind. It is a short list, and one of the entries only applies if you have allowed analytics.

The short version
This site sets one cookie of its own: a sign-in session for the administrative area, which only exists if you sign in there. It is strictly necessary and cannot be switched off without breaking the sign-in.
If analytics has been configured and you have allowed it, Google and Meta will also set their own cookies. Until you allow them, they set nothing — the scripts that would do so are not loaded at all.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to work. They do not track you, and they are not used for advertising.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| jc_session | this site | Keeps you signed in to the admin. Only set after signing in. | 12 hours |
Analytics and advertising
These are optional, and they are off until you allow them. They are used to see which pages are read, where visitors arrive from, and whether anything being run is reaching people.
If you decline, nothing is loaded and these providers receive no information about your visit. That includes the case where an analytics ID is configured but you have not agreed — the scripts are simply not added to the page.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits can be counted without identifying you. | up to 2 years |
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta | Links a visit to a Meta advertising campaign, so an advert can be credited with a visit. | up to 90 days |
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent stops analytics from collecting anything further.
Withdrawing does three things straight away: it tells Google and Meta that consent has been refused, it expires their cookies in your browser, and it stops any further collection.
One honest caveat remains. A script that has already been loaded cannot be unloaded — nothing running in a browser can do that — so a tracker that is mid-flight may finish what it was doing before it notices. Reloading the page afterwards clears that up completely, and the links below do the same thing more broadly.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, and most let you block third-party ones outright. Blocking the strictly necessary cookie would stop the admin sign-in from working, but blocking third-party cookies has no effect on this site beyond switching analytics off:
Links to other sites
Pages here sometimes link out — to a booking calendar, an article, or a social profile. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies, which are not covered by this one and are not something this site can control.
